BATON ROUGE – The LSU track and field program continues to receive recognition for its athletic and academic performance during the 2011 season as 10 student-athletes have been selected USTFCCCA All-Academic honorees by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Among the Tigers and Lady Tigers who have received USTFCCCA All-Academic awards for their effort in the classroom for the 2011 campaign include seniors Mark DeBlanc, Melissa Ogbourne, Kyle Rose and Ross Roubion; juniors Rachel Laurent, Aaron Moore and Ryan Roubion; sophomores Joseph Caraway and Laura Carleton and redshirt freshman Daniel Obioha.

In order to qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic status for 2011, a student-athlete must have maintained a 3.25 cumulative grade-point average during their respective collegiate careers.

They must have also met either of the athletic criteria set by the USTFCCCA. A student-athlete must have finished the regular season indoors ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the top 48 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA rankings list provided by TFRRRS.org, or participated in any round of an event outdoors at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Championships.
