BATON ROUGE – In order to reduce heavy vehicular traffic near the Mississippi River and to prohibit pedestrian access to the levee, a portion of River Road will be closed on Saturday and Sunday as LSU hosts the Bayou Country Superfest at Tiger Stadium.
River Road will be closed between Aster Street and Brightside Drive on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. as fans descend upon LSU for the annual two-day country festival. The closure will eliminate the Levee Lots as parking lots for the event.
Limited access will be allowed on River Road, including 18-wheel vehicles because of lack of accessibility for those vehicles on Aster Street.
