BATON ROUGE – Registration has begun for the 2011 Brown-Minnis Tiger Tennis Camp held on the campus of LSU.
This year’s camp offers sessions from June 12-16, June 26-30 and July 17-21 for students between the ages of 6-17. All three sessions currently have availability. In addition to full-day and overnight camps, half-day camps are also available.
Instruction will be administered through six to seven hours of activities each day on the tennis courts. A strong emphasis is placed on fundamentals and consistency of play. The camp also strives to build the character of each participant by stressing desire, sportsmanship and hard work as essential characteristics of tennis players.
Led by LSU men’s tennis coach Jeff Brown and women’s tennis coach Tony Minnis, instruction is provided by a one-to-four teacher-student ratio. Stroke production and technique, physical training and singles and doubles match competitions are among the activities included.
