Langoni hit safely in all four games and boosted her average by 43 points as LSU bounced back from its 0-5 SEC start with a series win over No. 24 Kentucky. She batted .545 for the week and provided RBIs during all three games of the series. The Pueblo, Colo., native equaled a season-high with three hits in the series opener and connected for the go-ahead home run during the third inning of the series finale.

Mack logged a pair of complete game wins versus No. 24 Kentucky during her two starts over the weekend. The victories stopped LSU’s season-long seven-game losing streak. In the series finale, Mack retired 12 of the final 13 batters she faced and carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning. She was touched up for an unearned run and notched five strikeouts.

Notes on the Tigers
No. 25 LSU snapped its seven-game losing streak with a series win over No. 24 Kentucky. The Tigers rode the right-arm of Brittany Mack, who tossed a pair of complete game gems. The Round Rock, Texas, product took a no-hitter into the sixth inning of the series finale before allowing an infield single. With the victories, Mack improved to 7-3 on the season. Offensively, Ashley Langoni caught fire and notched a .545 batting average to go along with a home run and four RBIs. Her solo homer during the third inning of the series finale put the Tigers ahead for good. Tammy Wray added a pair of RBIs highlighted by a hit batter with the bases loaded to break a 1-1 tie in the fifth inning of the middle game. Tiffany Shaw also tallied three hits and added two stolen bases. The Tigers face off with in-state foe Nicholls State on Wednesday before taking their SEC bye weekend. LSU returns to league action at Arkansas to open the month of April.
