BATON ROUGE – The LSU men’s tennis team is hitting the road for the third time in as many weeks this Sunday when they travel to College Station, Texas, to square-off against the 14th-ranked Aggies of Texas A&M at 1 p.m. CST at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center.

The Tigers are ranked 36th in the nation by the ITA, and enter the match with a 3-4 record after losing to Wake Forest, 4-3, last Sunday in Winston-Salem, N.C. Texas A&M boasts a 7-3 overall record after taking down TCU 7-0 on Wednesday.

“This is the first of several opportunities coming up to get this season going in the right direction,” LSU head coach Jeff Brown said. “The guys have been practicing hard and are excited about this tough matchup.”

The 14th-ranked doubles pair of senior Sebastian Carlsson and junior Neal Skupski will put their six-match winning streak on the line against Texas A&M’s senior doubles team of Jeff Dadamo and Austin Krajick, the No. 1 ranked tandem in the nation. Both doubles pairs enter the match with 6-1 marks this dual season.

In singles, Skupski leads the way for the Tigers with a No. 88 billing. The Aggies are paced by Krajick, who enters the match ranked 29th, and 49th-ranked Dadamo.

The teams faced-off last February in Baton Rouge, with Texas A&M earning a 5-2 victory, and the Aggies leads the all-time series over the Tigers, 22-17.

The match is the third of a five game road swing for LSU, who have traveled to Ohio State and Wake Forest the last two weekends. Following the match against the Aggies, the Tigers will travel to Florida and South Carolina to start SEC competition.
