BATON ROUGE – The 35th-ranked LSU men’s tennis team looks for its second Top 40 win of the season this Sunday when the Tigers travel to Winston-Salem, N.C., to square-off against 37th-ranked Wake Forest at 11 a.m. CST at Wake Forest’s Indoor Tennis Center.

The match against the Demon Deacons (2-3) is the second of a five-game road swing for the Tigers (3-3), who traveled to Columbus, Ohio, last weekend against and fell to No. 4 Ohio State.

“We both have very similar teams this year,” LSU head coach Jeff Brown said. “We had a hard-fought match last year and we are expecting a similar intensity from both teams this weekend.”

Last season LSU upset then-29th ranked Wake Forest 4-3 in a tight back-and-forth match on March 19 in Baton Rouge.

The doubles pair of senior Sebastian Carlsson and junior Neal Skupski lead the Tigers with a No. 14 national ranking. The tandem currently boasts a five-match unbeaten streak and has taken down two ranked opponents so far this season. Skupski is also ranked 88th in the singles poll.

Wake Forest is led by senior Jonathan Wolff, who is ranked 67th in the nation in singles, and sophomore Tripper Carleton enters the match with a No. 123 ranking.

LSU holds a 2-0 advantage in the all-time series with the Demon Deacons.
