BATON ROUGE – The entire LSU men’s tennis team took time out of their winter break to spread some cheer at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital on Wednesday afternoon.
The Tigers went room to room visiting with those children that could receive visitors, and in one room they sang Happy Birthday to a young patient.
“It was great to get away from campus and put things into perspective,” senior Sebastian Carlsson said. “It opened our eyes to how fortunate we are to be able to do what we love every day.”
In addition to cheering up the kids, senior Julien Gauthier said the trip helped them bond as a team.
“It was great visiting the kids and seeing them smile,” Gauthier said.
