Men’s Swimming & Diving Moves Up in Poll

BATON ROUGE — The LSU men’s swimming and diving team moved up one spot to No. 22 while the Lady Tigers were ranked No. 23 in the TYR/CSCAA Division I poll released Wednesday.

The Tiger swimmers won four of five dual meets last week during the teams’ annual training trip to south Florida, prevailing over Florida Atlantic, Penn, Brown and American to bring their season record to 5-4.

The LSU women claimed dual wins in five of seven meets last week to improve to 9-3 on the year and secure their highest win total since the 1998-99 season.

LSU is one of seven ranked SEC schools on the men’s side with No. 5 Florida leading the charge. The second-ranked Georgia women headline a group of six SEC squads in the women’s poll.

The Tigers and Lady Tigers will host Incarnate Word Saturday at noon in the LSU Natatorium. Prior to the meet, the programs will hold a Senior Day ceremony to recognize 12 seniors.
