WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Two LSU women’s tennis tandems captured doubles victories on the opening day of the Wake Forest Fall Invitational on Friday.
The Lady Tiger duo of Whitney Wolf and Yvette Vlaar picked up an 8-5 win over Furman’s Monica Arguello and Margaret Boyette at the No. 1 doubles spot.
At the No. 3 spot, Ebie Wilson and Kylie Adameck teamed up and took down Olivia Maurice and Jenny Porter of Furman, 8-4.
“I was really impressed with doubles today,” LSU head coach Tony Minnis said. “We have worked really hard on doubles in practice.”
The Lady Tigers will be back on the court tomorrow at 7 a.m. CT in doubles action against N.C. State, followed by a second doubles round against host Wake Forest.
