BATON ROUGE – Be sure to catch LSU softball head coach Yvette Girouard as she reviews the 2010 fall season and previews the upcoming 2011 campaign during interviews on various media outlets over the weekend.
Girouard will first appear Saturday at 1:30 p.m. as the pregame guest with Kent Lowe on the LSU Sports Radio Network. She also will be the halftime guest with Lyn Rollins during the Cox Sports Television broadcast replay of the Ole Miss game, which airs Sunday at 7 p.m.
Girouard caps the weekend with an appearance on Sunday Night Live that begins at 5:55 p.m. at TJ Ribs on Siegen Lane. That interview can be heard in the Geaux Zone on www.LSUsports.net/live.
For the first time since the 2008 season, LSU will spend opening weekend inside the friendly confines of Tiger Park. Bowling Green, Louisiana Tech and Purdue head to the Capitol City as part of the Wilson/DeMarini Tiger Classic from Feb. 11-13.
LSU earned a runner-up finish at the SEC Tournament en route to a 45-16 finish, its 10th season with at least 45 victories since softball was reinstated in 1997. The Tigers also reeled off a program-best 24-game winning streak and recorded their 12th NCAA Regional appearance in 2010.
