TULSA, Okla. – LSU men’s tennis’ Sebastian Carlsson and Neal Skupski‘s run at the D’Novo/ITA All-American Championships came to end Saturday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
The LSU pair fell in the semifinals of the consolation doubles draw to Fresno State’s Remi Boutillier and Rikus de Villiers 2-8.
“It was a good weekend for Sebastian and Neal,” LSU assistant coach Danny Bryan said. “They got to play against some of the top players in the country. They know what they need to do and we will get back to practice and continue working hard to prepare for the next tournament.”
After dropping their first-round match of the doubles main draw on Thursday, Skupski and Carlsson captured two victories on Friday in the consolation doubles bracket to advance to the semifinal round.
The Tigers will take the court again in two weeks at the ITA Southern Regionals in Tuscaloosa, Ala., which runs Oct. 21-24 at the University of Alabama’s varsity courts
