BATON ROUGE – The LSU athletics department invites families to join their favorite student-athletes, cheerleaders and Tiger Girls for the 15th annual Halloween BOOzar. The free trick-or-treat event for children is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 28, from 6:30 – 8 p.m. inside the Carl Maddox Fieldhouse.
Children are encouraged to wear their favorite costume. The safe evening of Halloween fun and excitement also will feature trick-or-treating, sport specific games and autographs. The Tiger Athletic Foundation has donated the candy for the event.
The BOOzar also kicks off the annual CHAMPS/Life Skills Unit Thanksgiving Food Drive. Families attending the event are encouraged to donate canned goods upon arrival to benefit the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. All cans collected also will be used during Homecoming Week for the creation of Tiger Stadium out of cans on the Parade Grounds.
