BATON ROUGE – LSU Sports continues to gain more television exposure throughout the south as Cox Sports Television (CST), the Exclusive Regional Sports Network home of LSU Athletics, continues to grow its coverage. CST is now available on Cox systems serving six states, with total distribution across eight southern states.
Now, LSU fans in Oklahoma can now catch more coverage of Tiger Athletics on CST with the addition of the regional sports network to the Cox cable lineups in Tulsa and Oklahoma City.
The 24-hour regional sports channel is only available to Cox customers in Oklahoma City and Tulsa as the channel is not carried on satellite or TELCO distributors. The addition of CST to the Cox channel offerings in Oklahoma City and Tulsa expands the New Orleans based regional sports networks availability in Oklahoma. Last month, Suddenlink Cable announced plans to add CST to their line-ups in several Oklahoma communities including, Stillwater, Enid, Cushing and Drumright.
CST’s year round coverage of LSU sports includes a minimum of 50 events, including football, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, track and field, volleyball, soccer, softball and gymnastics. Each Sunday night at 7 p.m. during the football regular season, CST shows a full game replay of the previous day’s game, and coaches shows for football, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball air throughout the athletic year.
Additionally, CST produces and airs the new LSU Tiger Tracks Show each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. throughout the athletic year, promoting all sports and current events in Tiger Athletics. LSU Tiger Tracks is hosted by Jordy Hultberg and Bill Franques and features coaches and administrators that provide a behind-the-scenes look at Tiger sports each week.
In addition, CST offers LSU fans summer encores of many of the televised events from the prior year. CST promotes the Tigers across all of its social network platforms including the CST web site, Facebook, Twitter and the CST YouTube channel. LSU events are also highlighted on the CST Video on demand service CST NOW!
