Basketball Team Helps ‘Roaring in the Halls’

BATON ROUGE – Members of the LSU men’s basketball team were on campus Thursday to help their fellow LSU students as they returned to their dorm rooms for the 2010 Fall Semester.

Classes begin on Monday at LSU and the Thursday prior to opening day has in recent years been designated as “Roaring Into The Halls” day as the students are allowed to move their belongings into their personal dorm rooms throughout the campus.

Basketball players joined other school officials and organizations around the campus helping incoming students unload cars and haul belongings into dorm rooms on campus.

Up to 2,500 students arrived on campus to move into their rooms during this year’s “Roaring”. Residential Life staff teamed up with more than 400 volunteers from around the University to provide incoming students with a warm welcome and a helping hand as they arrived.

Members of the team helping make new residence feel at home were Chris Bass, Storm Warren, Dennis Harris, Eddie Ludwig and Malcolm White.
