BATON ROUGE – With the start of the 2010 soccer season less than three weeks away, season tickets are now on sale as fans of the LSU soccer program have the opportunity to reserve their seats as the three-time SEC Western Division champions prepare for the season opener against South Alabama on Aug. 21.
General admission season tickets are now on sale to adults for $35 and youths for $15. Fans also have the chance to purchase reserve season tickets located in the midfield bleacher back section of the LSU Soccer Complex for $50 per seat. Season tickets can be purchased online at www.LSUtix.net.
Season ticket renewals from a year ago were issued in July and are still being accepted by the LSU Ticket Office. Fans who have not received a renewal form are asked to call the ticket office at 225-578-2184.
The Tigers are gearing up for another exciting home slate that includes three fixtures dubbed “The Big 3,” including their season opener against South Alabama on Sunday, Aug. 21, SEC home opener against Alabama on Friday, Oct. 1 and home finale against the four-time defending SEC champion Florida Gators on Friday, Oct. 21. The LSU Soccer Complex has earned reputation as one of the more intimidating home venues in which a visiting team to compete as the Tigers have compiled a 20-2-5 home mark in the last three seasons, which includes a 4-1-2 mark against nationally-ranked opponents.
In 2009, the LSU Soccer Complex made history as it served as a regional host for the NCAA Tournament for the first time in team history as part of the first and second rounds of the postseason.
