BATON ROUGE – LSU women’s golfer Tessa Teachman was named to the National Golf Coaches Association All-Scholar Team for the second consecutive year.
The Baton Rouge product, who will be a junior this year, was one of 504 women’s collegiate golfers recognized with this prestigious honor. Teachman, in her sophomore season, earned honorable mention All-American honors from Golfweek magazine for her on-course play.
The criteria for selection to the All-Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 and student-athletes must have competed in at least 50% (Division I) or 66% (Division II & III) of the college’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
Teachman becomes the seventh LSU women’s golfer to earn multiple All-Scholar Team honors from the NGCA.
