BATON ROUGE — LSU softball signee Tammy Wray was chosen to participate in the third annual Under Armour All-America Softball Game at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex as part of the ESPN RISE Games Presented by Target.
The game features 30 of the top high school and club All-Star players in the nation. Players were selected by a committee from ESPN RISE and receive a tour of Walt Disney World, a special fireworks celebration along with community outreach and life skills training programming.
“It feels absolutely amazing to be chosen as such an elite player in this game, I can’t even describe how honored I am,” Wray said. “I’m looking forward to meeting, playing with and playing against the top players in the nation.”
The Tigers will be represented in the Under Armour All-America Game for the second consecutive season. Rachele Fico notched a quartet of strikeouts as part of two scoreless frames in last year’s game.
ESPNU will televise the game on tape delay with Justin Kutcher and Garland Cooper set to call the action. Fans can view the game on July 24 at 6 p.m., July 25 at 7:30 a.m. and July 27 at 8 p.m.
