BATON ROUGE — After sweeping a non-conference doubleheader, the LSU women’s tennis team will take on Tulsa at 2 p.m. CDT Tuesday in Tulsa, Okla., at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

“We’ve got a little momentum going because we’ve won four of our last five matches. We’re hoping we can build on that,” said head coach Tony Minnis. “Tulsa is great this year, and they’re always a challenge. We’ve had great matches with them the past few years. This is a good opportunity for us to continue our momentum.”

LSU (6-9, 1-3 SEC) is led by sophomore Whitney Wolf who owns five wins at the No. 1 spot. Freshman Kaitlin Burns leads the team in dual wins with nine, and Keri Frankenberger and Nicole Kantor both ride on three-match win streaks.

Tulsa (13-5, 2-1 C-USA) features No. 95 Alexandra Kichoutkin, who garners an 11-4 dual record. In doubles, 35th-ranked Kichoutkin and JoAnne Karaitiana check in with 11 wins and have won seven of their last 10 matches.

The Lady Tigers defeated the Golden Hurricane, 5-2, in their last meeting in 2009. LSU leads the overall series against Tulsa, 7-2.
