BATON ROUGE – The LSU gymnastics team climbed one spot to No. 10 with a 196.415 regional qualifying score in the latest standings released by GymInfo on Monday after earning a season-high road score of 196.425 at Centenary.
Senior All-American Susan Jackson remained No. 2 nationally in the all-around with a 39.565 RQS as Missouri’s Sarah Shire stayed No. 1 with a 39.570 score.
All seven Southeastern Conference teams are ranked in the top 20 heading into the SEC Championship Saturday in Jacksonville, Fla.
Alabama retained the No. 1 ranking with a 197.195 RQS, followed by Oklahoma at 197.100, UCLA at No. 3 with a 196.900, Florida at No. 4 with a 196.850 and Georgia at No. 5 with a 196.690 total.
Stanford was sixth at 196.575, and Oregon State (196.545), Arkansas (196.510), Michigan (196.425) and LSU rounded out the top 10.
Auburn moved up two spots to 15th with a 195.975 RQS, and Kentucky remained 18th with a 195.600 total.
In the team event rankings, LSU (8-4-1) advanced four spots to No. 6 on beam with a 49.090 RQS, while the Tigers remained No. 8 on bars at 49.185. LSU fell one spot to No. 9 on vault with a 49.230 RQS, but the Tigers climbed one spot to No. 14 on floor at 49.120.
In the individual rankings, Jackson checked in at No. 1 on vault with a 9.940 RQS, No. 6 on bars at 9.905, No. 13 on beam at 9.880 and No. 12 on floor at 9.905.
Summer Hubbard, a two-time All-American on bars, moved up one spot to No. 15 in the bars rankings with a 9.885 RQS.
After winning three-straight beam titles with a 9.90 or higher, Samantha Engle appeared in the beam rankings at No. 16 with a 9.870 RQS.
LSU will begin postseason competition and look to raise its RQS one final time when the Tigers travel to Jacksonville for the SEC Championship at 3 p.m. CT on Saturday in Veterans Memorial Arena.
