Men’s Tennis Falls to No. 2 Tennessee

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The LSU men’s tennis team fell, 7-0, on Sunday to the second-ranked Tennessee Volunteers at the Varsity Tennis Courts in Knoxville, Tenn.
 
LSU (5-8, 2-3 SEC) lost the early doubles point and was unable to regain its footing in singles when the Vols took each court.
 
“Tennessee is one of the best teams in the nation, and they played like it today,” LSU head coach Jeff Brown said. “They took it to us in doubles and stayed with it in singles. We look forward to getting back t home for our next match to compete against Ohio State.”
 
The Tigers will return to action on Tuesday in Baton Rouge against top-5 Ohio State. The Tigers will square off with the fourth-ranked Buckeyes in a match slated for 2 p.m. CST in W.T. “Dub” Robinson Tennis Stadium.
