BATON ROUGE – LSU cheerleader Jessica Spitale is competing in the Cheerleader of the Year Tournament on Fox Sports’s the “College Experiment,” and voting opens online today and runs through March 22.
Spitale is one of eight cheerleaders from around the nation in contention for the honor, and a public vote will determine which cheerleader will advance to the next round.
Spitale, a communication studies major, is a senior member of LSU’s spirit squad, and she is matched up against a cheerleader from Texas in the first round south bracket.
If she wins the first round, she will advance to the semifinals where another round of voting will take place.
The “Cheerleader of the Year” will be announced April 7.
