BATON ROUGE — After a 10-day break, the LSU women’s tennis team will travel to Columbus, Ohio, to face Ohio State at the Stickney Tennis Center. First serve is slated for noon CST.

LSU (2-3) looks to rebound against the Buckeyes after falling to Texas A&M, 6-1, Feb. 7.

“We’ve had a great week of practice. The team has responded well to the losses. Hopefully that can translate to competing well at Ohio State,” said head coach Tony Minnis.

“Ohio Sate probably has the best team they’ve had in the past six or seven years. They’re on a roll, but we’re up to the challenge.”

The Lady Tigers highlight No. 120 Whitney Wolf, who holds a 12-9 overall record and freshman Kaitlin Burns, who garners a 4-0 record at the No. 4 spot and rides on a four-match win streak.

In doubles, the Lady Tigers are led by Wolf and Keri Frankenberger as the tandem owns a 4-1 record.

OSU (8-1) last played Virginia as it picked up a 5-2 victory. The Buckeyes feature 53rd-ranked Kirsten Flower as she carries a 7-2 dual match record.

LSU defeated Ohio State, 5-2, in its last contest as the Lady Tigers lead the all-time series, 2-0.
