BATON ROUGE — LSU’s 2009-10 men’s basketball poster, featuring all 14 members of this year’s team, will be available for autograph Wednesday night at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center at the free autograph session/Purple-Gold scrimmage.
The autograph session begins at 6 p.m. on the East end of the PMAC floor and will last until 7 p.m. Beside the poster, team schedule cards will be available.
Following that, there will be a highlight video of the Tigers’ 2008-09 SEC Championship season, followed by some brief comments by SEC Coach of the Year Trent Johnson, who will introduce his coaching staff.
PA announcer Dan Borne’ will then introduce the members of the 2009-10 basketball team, setting the stage for the scrimmage which should begin around 7:25 p.m. The teams will play a minimum of 20 minutes in their only public on-court appearance prior to the season opener on Nov. 13 in the Maravich Center against Louisiana-Monroe.
LSU will also open the season in the Dick’s Sporting Goods NIT Season-Tipoff on Nov. 16 and 17 as the host of the South Region. LSU will face Indiana State on Nov. 16 and will play either the winner or loser of the UW-Milwaukee-Western Kentucky game on Nov. 17. If LSU wins on Nov. 16 and 17, the Tigers will advance to the NIT semifinals in New York City.
Season tickets remain on sale as well as two different four-game mini-plans both online and at the LSU Athletics Ticket Office. Individual game tickets go on sale on Nov. 2.
