BATON ROUGE — LSU women’s tennis senior Nicole Kantor lost to Berkeley Brock of North Carolina State in the pre-qualifying round of the Intercollegiate Tennis Associations Womens All-American Championships hosted by the Riviera Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
Kantor, a St. Louis, Mo., native, fell short to Brock by a score of 7-5, 6-2.
Nicole fought very hard today but lost to a better player, said head coach Tony Minnis. Shes had a great season so far, and Im really proud of her.
The Lady Tiger opened the fall season with a championship win at the Hoosier Classic and holds a 3-1 singles record.
The team will take the courts again on Oct. 23 for the ITA Southern Regional Championships hosted by Auburn.
