BATON ROUGE — LSU men’s tennis alumnus Ken Skupski reached a milestone recently as he appeared at No. 98 in the ATP Individual Doubles Rankings to make his debut in the top 100.
“This is certainly a great marker in Ken’s career,” LSU head coach Jeff Brown said. “Although he is already great, he has the ability to climb much higher and with the added confidence, he can reach for his next goal of entering the top 50.”
The achievement of a top-100 ranking occurred simultaneously with an invitation for Skupski to join Great Britain’s Davis Cup team.
In British rankings, the Liverpool native holds the No. 2 spot in doubles and No. 19 in singles, respectfully.
The professional accomplishments and recognition Skupski has received were preceded by an outstanding career at LSU.
Skupski, a four-year letterman for the Tigers, played at the No. 1 spot in singles and doubles throughout his career at LSU. In addition to earning First-Team All-SEC honors each of his four years with the team, Skupski garnered All-America honors three times – twice in singles and once in doubles – leaving LSU as one of the most decorated players in the history of the program.
