BATON ROUGE — Coming off a 23-9 victory over Vanderbilt in its home opener, the LSU football team advanced two spots in both the Associated Press Top 25 and the USA Today Coaches Poll on Sunday.

The Tigers (2-0) were ranked No. 9 by the AP writers and tied for seventh by the coaches.
