BATON ROUGE ? The LSU volleyball team received word Wednesday that four additional SEC matches have been selected for live television broadcasts as announced by the league office. In total, the Tigers will have six matches on television during the 2009 season.
Fox Sports South has selected LSU’s match at Alabama on October 2 at 7 p.m. for national broadcast.
“Getting television exposure can do nothing but help our program,” head coach Fran Flory said. “It says a lot about our program and how hard our players have worked to be featured on television as many times as we are. SEC matches top to bottom are going to be great matches. They’ll be full of tremendous volleyball played with a lot of energy and excitement.”
Cox Sports Television has added the Tigers home contest against Auburn on November 1 at 1 p.m. One week later, CSS is carrying LSU at Arkansas on November 8 at 1 p.m., while Sun Sports has picked up LSU’s match at Florida on November 13 at 6 p.m.
These four matches join LSU’s home matches against Kentucky on September 20 at 2 p.m. and versus Florida on October 11 at 6 p.m. on ESPN U.
