BATON ROUGE — LSU boasts one of the proudest traditions for intercollegiate athletics in the country spanning more than a century, and the LSU Athletic Department invites all past letterwinners to become a member of the LSU National L Club.
The LSU National L Club is an organization open to all certified letterwinners through the storied history of the LSU athletic program and supports varsity athletes, trainers, equipment managers and cheerleaders.
It provides the opportunity for letterwinners to maintain relationships across different sports, generations and geographical locations and helps them to remain actively involved in LSU athletics. The involvement of former letterwinners helps perpetuate excellence in athletics and academics for both current and future student-athletes who attend LSU.
“I think it’s really important for our former athletes to continue to be a part of the LSU family,” said LSU Athletic Director Joe Alleva. “The L Club is a great opportunity for them to stay involved with their university and to remain connected with other former athletes.
“Our former athletes are great ambassadors for LSU, and we want to do all that we can to make sure they remain active with LSU athletics.”
Letterwinners who wish to join the L Club or have any other questions are asked to contact Ashley Winning, Special Events and Community Relations Coordinator, at 225-578-7147 or at winning@lsu.edu.
