BATON ROUGE — Craig Loston, who was considered one of the top safeties in prep football last year, has been cleared to join the LSU football team, head coach Les Miles announced on Monday.
Loston, a freshman from Eisenhower High School in Aldine, Texas, practiced with the Tigers for the first time on Monday. Monday was also the first day of class on the LSU campus.
“We’re excited to finally get Craig on the field,” Miles said. “We figure he’ll be a very productive part of what is a very talented class.”
With Loston joining the team on Monday, every member of LSU’s 2009 signing class is academically eligible.
