BERLIN — Lady Tiger sprint great Muna Lee duplicated her performance from the 2008 Olympic Games on Friday night as she just missed earning a spot on the medal stand with a fourth-place finish in the 200-meter final at the 12th IAAF World Championships in Athletics at Olympic Stadium.

While running out of Lane 3, Lee crossed the finish line in 22.48 seconds to match her fourth-place finish from the Olympic Games in Beijing last summer where she set her personal best of 22.01.

Fellow American star Allyson Felix won gold with a time of 22.02, while Jamaican Veronica Campbell-Brown captured silver in 22.35 and Bahamian Debbie Ferguson-McKenzie took bronze in 22.41.

Lee will return to the track with her American teammates Saturday for the qualifying round of the 4×100-meter relay that is set to begin at 11:10 a.m. CT. NBC will air live coverage of Saturday’s action at the IAAF World Championships to a national audience from 12-2 p.m. CT.
