BATON ROUGE — Keep up with the latest on the LSU volleyball program by following the four-time defending SEC Western Division champions on Twitter.

The Twitter site can be accessed at www.LSUsports.net/twitter, which gives fans the opportunity to sign up to receive text-message length updates on their cell phone or through the Internet. Updates on the program will be made periodically by Head Coach Fran Flory, Assistant Coaches Steve Loeswick and Jill Lytle Wilson along with Associate Sports Information Director Matt Dunaway.

In order to become a follower of @LSUVolleyball, fans must first create their own Twitter account, which is free at www.twitter.com. Twitter is a free service that lets users keep in touch with people through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?

Setting up text updates through Twitter is easy using the following steps:
1. Under “Settings,” click on the tab for “Devices.”
2. Enter your cell number using a “+” before the country code, which is the number 1 for the United States. The cell number entered should be in the format +15552223333.
3. Check the box that says, “It’s okay for Twitter to send txt messages to my phone,” before clicking the “Save” button.
4. Return to your homepage and access the list of Twitter users you are following.
5. Under LSUVolleyball, set Device Updates to “On.”

The accounts accessed from www.LSUsports.net/twitter are the only Twitter entities that are officially sanctioned by the LSU Athletics Department.
