BRISTOL, Conn. ? LSU softball signee Rachele Fico was one of 30 players to earn EA Sports High School All-American First-Team accolades Monday as selected by the ESPNRISE.com staff. She also picked up her second consecutive Gatorade Softball Player of Year for the state of Connecticut last week.
Fico led Masuk High School to a pair of state championships and broke the national record for career perfect games during her senior season. She racked up 26 perfect games, 47 no-hitters, 95 shutouts and 1,887 strikeouts en route to a 105-3 record with a 0.07 ERA over her high school career.
