Fans Can Follow LSU at the NCAA Championships on Twitter

BATON ROUGE — The NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be held this week in Fayetteville, Ark., and fans have the opportunity to follow LSU like never before by signing up for event-by-event updates on the team’s official profile on Twitter.

The meet is set to kick off Wednesday at John McDonnell Field on the campus of the University of Arkansas and will come to a dramatic conclusion on Saturday afternoon.

The Twitter site for the LSU track and field teams can be accessed at www.LSUsports.net/twitter, which gives fans the opportunity to sign up to receive text-message length updates on their cell phone or through the Internet. Associate Sports Information Director Will Stafford will be on site providing event-by-event updates from the NCAA Championships.

In order to become a follower of @LSUTrackField, fans must first create their very own Twitter account, which is free at www.twitter.com.

Setting up text updates through Twitter is easy using the following steps:

1. Under “Settings,” click on the tab for “Devices.”
