BATON ROUGE — The LSU volleyball team returns to Houston as part of the Texas Tornadoes College Invitational this weekend.
The Tigers square off Texas and Texas-San Antonio in the morning session before taking on Texas State and Colorado during the afternoon. All matches are two out of three sets to 25 with the third set going to 15 if necessary.
“Our focus in practice this week has been increasing the tempo of our offense,” head coach Fran Flory said. “We are anxious to see how well we?re able to implement it in competition. This tournament is the toughest competition we will face this semester. We expect to have to execute on a very high level to be successful.”
The four-time defending SEC Western Division champions won six of eight sets sweeping host Rice and TCU, while splitting sets against SMU and Stephen F. Austin at the Rice Spring Tournament last weekend.
