BATON ROUGE — The LSU volleyball team heads to Houston to open the spring season Saturday at the Rice Spring Tournament. This marks the first of four spring tournaments for the Tigers.
The four-time defending SEC Western Division champions are slated to face Stephen F. Austin and TCU in the morning session followed by afternoon tilts against SMU and Rice. Three of LSU’s opponents are coming off 20-win seasons.
Matches are split between Tudor Fieldhouse and Fox Gym on the Rice campus. Each match will consist of two to 25-point sets.
