OXFORD, Miss. — The No. 21 LSU softball team wraps up its Magnolia State road swing Tuesday at Ole Miss.
The Tigers (20-6, 7-2 SEC) have won five straight games and 14 of its last 16 outings. In the all-time series, LSU has won 35 of the 40 all-time meetings against Ole Miss.
Reigning SEC Player of the Week Rachel Mitchell has driven home 11 of the team’s 22 RBIs over the last five games. Five of her last six hits have produced runs for LSU.
Jessica Mouse also is swinging a hot bat, hitting .500 over her last five games. She knocked a game-tying triple in LSU’s four-run comeback victory during the series finale at Mississippi State.
Brittany Mack won both games of Saturday’s doubleheader in the circle, while Casey Faile added three innings of one-hit relief to clinch the series finale.
