BATON ROUGE — Three members of the LSU men’s tennis team volunteered on Saturday at the Civitan sponsored Special Olympics at Don Carter’s Bowling Alley.
Curt Maddox, James Cluskey and Sebastian Carlsson talked and interacted with some of the over 100 participants at the event, as well handed out medals to the award winners.
“It was very rewarding to be a part of this event,” Maddox said. “To see the kids’ faces light up when we handed them their medals was very special.”
Maddox, Cluskey and Carlsson return to action along with the rest of the Tigers as LSU takes to Vanderbilt’s courts in their first Southeastern Conference road match of the season. LSU will square off with Vanderbilt in a 2 p.m. match at the Brownlee Currey Jr. Tennis Center.
