BATON ROUGE — Animated television star Dora the Explorer will be in attendance Friday when the sixth-ranked LSU gymnastics team takes on No. 9 Arkansas at 7 p.m. CT in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. The event is sponsored by Team LSU Partner Verizon Wireless.
Kids are invited to come out early and take a picture with Dora beginning at 5:30 p.m. on the upper concourse of the Maravich Center.
“We are excited about having Dora the Explorer come out to the meet Friday,” LSU head coach D-D Breaux said. “I want to invite everyone out to the meet not only to have fun and take a picture with Dora but also to enjoy some phenomenal gymnastics.”
Dora will be in attendance at the meet as part of Kids Night at LSU gymnastics. The first 200 kids to enter the arena Friday will receive a Swirl Whirly Pop, and there will also be a post-meet autograph session with the LSU gymnastics team so kids can get signatures of their favorite Tiger gymnasts.
Tickets for the meet are only $3 for youth and $5 for adults and can be purchased by logging on to LSUtix.net or over the phone by contacting the LSU Athletics Ticket Office at 225-578-2184.
LSU will square off against No. 9 Arkansas at 7 p.m. Friday in a top 10 showdown in the PMAC.
