Third in a series of four advisories pertaining to the New Alex Box Stadium
BATON ROUGE — LSU is opening a new baseball stadium on Friday night and LSU fans are encouraged to be familiar with parking policies. LSU will play its first game in the new park on Friday when the No. 1-ranked Tigers host Villanova beginning at 7 p.m. Pre-game ceremonies to open the park will start at 6:15 p.m.
Because the lots nearest the new Alex Box Stadium are located on Gourrier Avenue which is a two-lane street, all fans are encouraged to carpool, arrive early and be patient as they learn the routes to these parking areas.
LSU strongly encourages all fans to park in lots to the west of Nicholson Drive. LSU discourages parking to the east of Nicholson Drive which would require pedestrians to cross Nicholson Drive, a four-lane state highway.
Reserved paid parking is designated in the following lots surrounding Alex Box Stadium: Alex Box Lot, Champions Lot, Bullpen Lot and Home Run Village. Specific parking spaces are numbered and reserved for pass holders in Home Run Village. These parking lots will generally open three hours prior to games, but for the season opener the reserved lots will open at noon on Friday.

Automobiles and motor homes may park only in designated areas. No parking is permitted on roots of trees.
Reserved paid parking spaces are for vehicles only. The purchase and use of a parking pass for other reasons, such as port-o-lets, trailers, tents, chairs, etc., is not permitted. Tailgating is not permitted in travel lanes on roads or parking lots. No tents or other items may be placed in travel lanes or on sidewalks.
Motor Homes are encouraged to park in Lot D on the corner of Nicholson Drive and Skip Bertman Drive, across from the original Alex Box Stadium. Reserved motor home parking is not available for LSU baseball games. All motor home parking is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Following the game, the following traffic procedures will be in place: all automobiles in paid parking lots around Alex Box Stadium (Alex Box Lot, Champions Lot, Bullpen Lot and Home Run Village) will be directed east to Nicholson Drive and all automobiles in free lots on Gourrier Avenue (Hayfield Lot) will be directed west to River Road.
Fans are encouraged to refer to all of the stadium policies in the LSU Baseball Fan Guide at www.LSUsports.net/fanguide.
