BATON ROUGE — The LSU Athletic Department announced Monday that KLSU-FM (91.1) has picked up eight softball games to broadcast live for the 2009 season.
“The LSU Athletic Department has had a great relationship with KLSU over the years,” LSU senior associate athletic director Herb Vincent said. “We’re glad that relationship gives us the opportunity to deliver more games to our softball fans on the radio and also help develop some very talented LSU students in their broadcast careers.”
The eight-game package opens this weekend with each game of the Easton Tiger Classic, including contests against 2008 WCWS National Runner-Up Texas A&M and Ohio State. KLSU also will broadcast all three games of SEC opening weekend against Kentucky on March 7-8.
