BATON ROUGE — The latest installment of LSU Sports Journal, a program highlighting various aspects of the LSU Athletic Department, can be seen on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. and on Saturdays at 4:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Cox Communications Channel 4 in the Baton Rouge area.
The show begins with an interview with LSU softball coach Yvette Girouard, who discusses the Tigers’ move into a state-of-the-art new stadium later this month.
LSU Sports Journal also features a visit with track and field coach Dennis Shaver, who talks about the Lady Tigers’ 2008 outdoor national championship and gives a preview of the 2009 season.
Gymnastics coach D-D Breaux drops in to discuss her Top 10 team and its remaining home schedule, and the show concludes with features on men’s basketball stars Garrett Temple and Tasmin Mitchell, and women’s basketball standout Allison Hightower.
LSU Sports Journal may be viewed on the Cox Communications affiliates in the seven-parish Greater Baton Rouge area.
The show, hosted by Jordy Hultberg and Bill Franques, is a monthly, one-hour production featuring interviews with LSU coaches, athletes and administrators.
