BATON ROUGE ? With the 2009 season already underway the LSU women’s tennis team took time Saturday to visit a local hospital to visit with patients and cheer them up.
All 10 Lady Tigers made the trip and handed out temporary LSU tattoos to the children so the kids could put them on to cheer for the men’s basketball team against Xavier.
“I think that going to the hospital is valuable for us to do because we are given so much at LSU and giving back to the community is very important,” junior Nicole Kantor said.
LSU is 2-0 on the season with victories at Colorado (5-2) and New Mexico (4-3). The Lady Tigers will return to action Saturday, Jan. 31 against DePaul in Los Angeles, Calif., in the inaugural ITA Kick-Off Weekend.
