New Tiger Park to Open; Single-Game Tickets on Sale

Softball Season Tickets on Sale Now

BATON ROUGE — Season tickets went on sale Monday for the inaugural season of LSU softball at the New Tiger Park.

Fans can purchase tickets online at the official Web site of LSU Athletics, www.LSUsports.net, at the ticket office or call (225) 578-2184 or (800) 960-8587. LSU students, faculty and staff are admitted free to regular season games with an LSU ID.

Chair-back seats are available for $100, while reserved bleacher seating is $75. Fans are encouraged to get their season tickets to guarantee great seats for LSU’s marquee home schedule that features six games against teams that made the Women’s College World Series last season.

Last season, the Tigers averaged a school-record attendance for the second consecutive season, averaging 919 fans in 25 dates. LSU also recorded a third straight 30-win season at home, going 30-6 to complete an impressive 338-51 run over 12 seasons at the old Tiger Park.

“It’s exciting to see everything with the new Tiger Park come together,” LSU head coach Yvette Girouard said. “Our home schedule gives our fans the opportunity to view some of the finest collegiate softball. Everything that I could think a fan could want will be located at the new Tiger Park.”

Located on Skip Bertman Drive across from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine and adjacent to the LSU Women’s Soccer Complex, the new Tiger Park features 1,289 seats? including 587 chair-back seats? and the capability of accommodating 1,200 more fans on the left field berm.

The new Tiger Park also is equipped with first-class team facilities, including a locker room, team lounge, meeting facility, training facility, equipment room, indoor batting cages and umpire locker rooms.

LSU makes their first television appearances of the season on Cox Sports Television (cable channel 37) at the Easton Tiger Classic against Ohio State on Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. and against national runner-up Texas A&M on Feb. 14 at 2 p.m. 

The Tigers also will have its games against Nicholls State on March 4 at 6 p.m. along with both games of the Florida doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. on April 18 televised by CST. Fox Sports also visits the new Tiger Park on April 5 at 1pm as part of the SEC-TV package.

LSU opens the home schedule against McNeese State on Feb. 11 at 6 p.m. Fans are encouraged to check LSUSports.net in the coming weeks for a list of exciting opening night promotions.

After the Easton Tiger Classic on Feb. 13-15, LSU also plays host to the Easton Purple and Gold Challenge from Feb. 20-22. The Tigers square off with Northern Iowa, Texas State and UAB as part of the three-day tournament.

After mid-week contests with Southern Miss on Feb. 25 and Nicholls State on March 4, LSU begins SEC action at home against Kentucky from March 7-8. Following a mid-week game against Baylor on March 11, the Tigers face off against Alabama for a doubleheader on March 18. 

April begins with a weekend series against Tennessee from April 4-5. On April 15, LSU takes on Southeastern Louisiana before a three-game set against Florida from April 18-19. The Tigers close out the regular season home schedule on April 25-26 against South Carolina for Senior Day.
