BATON ROUGE — LSU gymnastics coach D-D Breaux, men’s basketball player Garrett Temple and ticket manager Brian Broussard are the featured guests on Tiger Talk, an online talk show presented by TJ Ribs Restaurant.
Tiger Talk is moderated by Bill Franques with interviews conducted by Amanda Joseph, Miss Louisiana 2007 and a former LSU Golden Girl.
In her 32 years at the helm of the gymnastics program, Breaux has created and maintained LSU’s reputation as one of the premier teams in the country.
Her balance and dedication to the student-athlete, the program and community have been recognized by her peers time and time again. Breaux has been named the Southeastern Conference Coach of the Year on six occasions, NCAA Central Regional Coach of the Year four times, and she was a finalist for the National Coach of the Year in 1988.
Under Breaux’s direction, the Tigers have finished among the nation’s top 10 teams 20 times in 31 seasons. They have won eight regional championships, and four LSU gymnasts have captured individual national championships. Breaux has also produced 85 All-Americans and 40 All-SEC selections.
Temple, a senior guard from Baton Rouge, is the third member of his family to play basketball at LSU, joining his father, Collis Jr., and his older brother, Collis III. Temple has started 96 of 99 career games over the past three seasons, and he played a team high 1,066 minutes in 2007-08, an average of 34.4 minutes per game.
Temple averaged 6.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game last season as a point guard, and he has made the transition to the “three” position this season.
Broussard, who has served as LSU’s ticket manager for eight years, will provide Tiger fans with up-to-date information on purchasing tickets for the December 31 Chick-Fil-A Bowl in Atlanta. LSU will face Georgia Tech at 6:30 p.m. CT in the Georgia Dome.
