BATON ROUGE — LSU gymnastics coach D-D Breaux, whose gymnastics team advanced to the NCAA Super Six a season ago, will be featured on LSU sports programming in and around the Alabama football game.
Breaux, the longest tenured coach at LSU as her gymnastics team is preparing for her 32nd season as the mastermind of the nationally-ranked Tiger squad, will be the interviewee in the weekly athletics department segment of the football pregame show on the LSU Sports Radio Network Saturday afternoon. That show begins at 12:30 p.m., two hours prior to the kickoff of the LSU-Alabama contest.
Breaux will also be featured in an article in the LSU-Alabama Gameday program, on the LSU Sports Television Network “Inside LSU Football” show which airs in many markets beginning Sunday evening and she will appear on “LSU Sunday Night Live!” with Jordy Hultberg Sunday night at 6 p.m. The show airs from Ninfa’s Mexican Restaurant on the LSU Sports Radio Network.
Breaux’s team finished fifth a year ago in qualifying for its first Super Six as Susan Jackson won the NCAA championship on the vault.
Her team opens the 2009 gymnastics season on Jan. 2 at the Cancun Classic in Cancun, Mexico and will open the home schedule at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on Friday, Jan. 16, against the University of Georgia.
