BATON ROUGE — LSU Director of Athletics Joe Alleva and women’s basketball coach Van Chancellor are the featured guests on the premiere episode of Tiger Talk, a new online talk show presented by TJ Ribs Restaurant.
Tiger Talk was recorded live on Monday night at TJ Ribs in Baton Rouge, and is now available free in the Geaux Zone on LSUsports.net.
New episodes will be presented throughout the year featuring exclusive interviews with LSU coaches and administrators.
Tiger Talk is moderated by Bill Franques with interviews conducted by Amanda Joseph, Miss Louisiana 2007 and a former LSU Golden Girl.
Alleva officially became the Director of Athletics at LSU on July 1 after spending 10 years in the same position at the prestigious Duke University.
Alleva has built his professional career on service to student-athletes and the commitment to individual development in athletics, academics and community service. Alleva is well-respected for sustaining high standards of excellence and integrity in the athletics program, the quality of coaches he has hired, and the high level of success that has been achieved across athletic programs under his leadership.
Chancellor has enjoyed tremendous success as a head coach for 30 years at the collegiate, professional and international levels. He brought an impressive resume to LSU prior to the 2007-08 season ? he led the United States to a gold medal in the 2004 Olympic Games, he directed the Houston Comets to four WNBA titles, and he guided Ole Miss to 14 NCAA Tournament appearances.
Chancellor enhanced his legacy last season in Baton Rouge, leading the Lady Tigers to the Final Four and guiding the program to its third SEC title in four seasons.
