BATON ROUGE — The 1988 LSU football team, which will be recognized Saturday night in Tiger Stadium on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of its Southeastern Conference championship, will gather for a reception before the game at Walk-On’s Bistreaux just south of the LSU campus on Saturday afternoon.
The reception is scheduled to take place from noon until 3 p.m. at Walk-On’s.
Any members of the 1988 team who have not yet been contacted should contact Lois Stuckey in the LSU Football Office at (225) 578-1151 or football@lsu.edu.
The 1988 LSU Tigers featured a high-powered offense and a stifling defense that captured the Southeastern Conference title under head coach Mike Archer. A season-opening win over No. 10 Texas A&M, then a stunning victory over No. 4 Auburn that started a five-game win streak, spurred the Tigers to their seventh conference title.
