ADELAIDE, Australia — Norway, with LSU sophomore Amalie Valle, made a good move up the standings Thursday as the Women’s World Amateur Team Championships continued at the Grange Golf Club East and West Courses.

Norway, 30th in the field of 48 after the first round, posted a second-round of even-par 146 over the par-73 East Course in the three-play count two scores for the team event, stands in a group tied for 14th place at 10-over par 300 (154-146). The West Course the team played on Wednesday plays at par-72.

Sweden continues to dominate the competition with a second round six-under round to lead the event at 15-under par 275, eight shots better than Spain at 8-under 283. The American team of Amanda Blumenherst, Tiffany Joh and Alison Walshe are in a group tied for eighth at 6-over 296.

Norway’s Tonje Daffinrud shot 1-under 72 on the day and TCU player Rachel Raastad had a 1-over 74 to make the team score. For the second straight day, Valle had her struggles again on the back nine after turning in 3-over, had to post on her scorecard two double bogeys on the final three holes as she posted an 86 to stand at 21-over 166.

The tournament continues through Saturday.
