Beckwith has been out of action since the second half of the North Texas game, but should ready to play next week when the second-ranked Tigers face Florida in Gainesville.
Proclaimed the “unofficial” team captain by his teammates, Beckwith is a three-year starter at middle linebacker for an LSU defense that has ranked among the top 10 in the nation in each of the past three seasons.
