BATON ROUGE — Three of the LSU volleyball team’s matches will be televised this season ? twice on Fox Sports Network and once on Cox Sports Television ? as the Tigers go for a fourth straight Southeastern Conference Western Division title and a fourth straight trip to the NCAA Tournament.
The first of those TV matches will be Sept. 21 against Florida in Gainesville aired by FSN. Florida and LSU begin the 2008 campaign as the SEC’s lone ranked teams, the Tigers at No. 21 and the Gators at No. 8.
Next will be Oct. 5 against Arkansas in Baton Rouge, televised by CST. The Tigers swept the series with Arkansas in 2007, including a 3-0 decision in the Maravich Center last October.
Lastly, the Tigers’ match in Oxford against Ole Miss on Nov. 23 will be broadcasted by FSN. LSU also swept the Rebels in 2007, including a thrilling 19-17 win in a game five at Ole Miss in September.
